About this webinar
Stranger Things in Radiography is delivered as a scheduled, moderated webinar. Sessions run twice a day, at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Central, every day except Thursday. The scheduled block is 4 hours, and 3.4 hours of recorded attendance are required for credit. There is no post-test and no quiz — attendance is the requirement, and a moderator is in the room throughout for questions.
Learning objectives
After attending this activity, participants will be able to:
- 1Recognise the unusual foreign bodies, artefacts and anatomical variants that appear on diagnostic images.
- 2Differentiate a true pathological finding from an artefact introduced by the patient, the equipment or the processing.
- 3Describe the imaging appearance of retained surgical items, ingested and inserted objects, and implanted devices.
- 4Explain the safety, legal and documentation considerations that arise when an unexpected finding is discovered.
- 5Discuss how an incidental or unexpected finding is communicated to the radiologist and to the referring clinician.
