Mammography Pathology ASRT Approved 6 CEUS is delivered as a scheduled, moderated webinar. Sessions run twice a day, at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Central, every day except Thursday. The scheduled block is 6 hours, and 5.6 hours of recorded attendance are required for credit. There is no post-test and no quiz — attendance is the requirement, and a moderator is in the room throughout for questions.
Learning objectives
After attending this activity, participants will be able to:
- 1Describe the normal histology of the breast and the changes seen across the lifespan.
- 2Recognise the mammographic appearance of benign findings including cysts, fibroadenoma, lipoma and calcified fat necrosis.
- 3Differentiate benign from suspicious calcification by morphology and distribution.
- 4Identify the mammographic features associated with malignancy, including spiculated masses, architectural distortion and developing asymmetry.
- 5Relate imaging findings to the BI-RADS assessment categories and the follow-up each implies.
- 6Explain how ultrasound, MRI and biopsy are used to work up a finding first seen on a mammogram.
