About this webinar
Digital Radiography & PACS Review is delivered as a scheduled, moderated webinar. Sessions run twice a day, at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Central, every day except Thursday. The scheduled block is 6 hours, and 5.7 hours of recorded attendance are required for credit. There is no post-test and no quiz — attendance is the requirement, and a moderator is in the room throughout for questions.
Learning objectives
After attending this activity, participants will be able to:
- 1Compare computed radiography and direct digital radiography, and describe how each converts x-rays into a digital image.
- 2Explain exposure indicators, target ranges and the way dose creep develops when they are not monitored.
- 3Describe the post-processing applied to a digital image and how it changes what the reviewer sees.
- 4Identify the artefacts specific to digital acquisition and state the corrective action for each.
- 5Trace a study through the PACS workflow — acquisition, DICOM header, worklist, storage, retrieval and archive.
- 6Apply the quality control, patient identification and image-retention practices that a digital department depends on.
